Clay Ross

Clay Ross, a Colorado Springs towny, is a self-taught abstract/impressionistic artist. Primarily working with acrylic and mixed media, Clay finds inspiration from color, light, landscapes and faces. He loves texture, experimentation with layers, and large scale.

His favorite way to create is in wide open space to make ample amounts of messes. Creative chaos is his happy place. Clay’s artistic roots began with graffiti and has grown through commissioned paintings over the last 20 years.

Clay is a proud father of 3 teenagers and husband to his wife, Emily. He and Emily are owners of Yobel, a fair trade fashion boutique, where they get to share the global stories of artisans and ensure the ethical treatment and dignified work through fashion. He is also a self-proclaimed champion of this city, “If you can dream it, build it, paint it, drink it or eat to then, I am your cheerleader!”
