Perforated steel is shaped by hand, then fused with white bronze using an intensely hot torch, creating an irregular, richly textured surface. The metal is blackened and selectively polished to reveal the silvery bronze against the architectural grid.

Beautifully cut Peruvian pink opals provide a luminous counterpoint to the rugged metal. Each stone is held in an open prong setting, allowing its natural beauty to be seen from both front and back.
