Casey began his formal education in photography at the Colorado Mountain College, majoring in Fine Art Photography and outdoor studies. He returned to school a few years later and earned an Associates Degree in Photography from The Colorado Institute of Art in Denver. He has been a working professional commercial and landscape photographer ever since. His work has been displayed at numerous venues and art festivals around the state. It is valued for its technical quality, diversity, beauty, and simplicity. In 2018 he left his job as a photographer at a catalog company, and struck out on his own to pursue his passion for taking photos of the natural landscape. In 2020 he began teaching photography classes at Pikes Peak State College as part of their photography program.
