Gamble Oak Acorn Earrings

During fall cleanup of my yard this year, I collected acorns from the numerous Gamble Oak trees. They were plump and green when I collected them. I left on a 3-week trip to the Balkans, and upon my return, I found them shrunken and brown on my studio bench. I cast them in silver anyway, finding their decay all the more beautiful and interesting. Wear these on your next hike.
